A Consultancy and Business Advisory Department is functioning directly under the supervision of the Principal and Director with the active participation of faculty and students. While the faculty guide the work, the students get experiential learning in carrying out the same.
The following are the major activities of this department
Preparation of Feasibility and Project Report
Market Research and Market Survey
Management Consultancy
Recruitment, Training and Placement for Organization
Organizing EDPs and MDPs
Providing Pilot Plant Facilities in Food Processing
The following activities were completed during 2004-2005
1. Conducted a field survey and submit a project report under PURA (Providing Urban Amenities in Rural Areas ) which is a Govt of India scheme initiated by Prime Ministers Office as announced by the President, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam.
2. The Consumer and Trade Survey, Market Development, Design Competition and Consultancy Work for the Kerala State Sericulture Co-operative Federation (SERIFED).
3. Preparation of a project report for a Kuwait based NRI Group for establishing a modern Power Laundry in Pathanamthitta District.
4. Recruitment, Training, Placement of Personnel and Management Consultancy to Tom Pipes Pvt. Ltd., Changanacherry, a growing SSI unit.
5. Management advice and overall consultancy for A.M. Body Builders, Chakkuvally, Bharanicavu, Sasthamkottah for the units turn around.
6. A number of Market Development and Consumer Contact Programme for SBT, HDFC and SBI Banks.
Students have played a major role in all the above projects. These activities have generated a total income of around Rs.50 lakhs for the institution.
