APPLICATIONS FOR PROJECT POSITIONS
Applications are invited from suitable candidates for two temporary positions
one Project Fellow and one JRF in the following projects. UGC supported project “Functional genomics of plant retrotransposons”
Project Fellow (Rs. 8000 consolidated per month): M.Sc. in any discipline of Life Sciences related to Molecular Biology and Genetics.
DBT supported project “Molecular studies on interaction of Piriformospora indica and Rhizobacteria” (PI: Prof. K.C. Upadhyaya and Prof. P. K. Yadava) JRF (Rs. 12000 + HRA per month): M.Sc. in any discipline of Life Sciences related to Molecular Biology and Microbiology with NET and GATE qualification as per the DBT requirements. The above mentioned positions are temporary and co-terminus with the project. The initial appointment will be for a period of one year which can be curtailed or extended on the basis of performance. Candidates against the above positions would be selected on the basis of qualifications and experience. However, any of the qualification(s) could be relaxed in case the candidate is found otherwise well-qualified by the Selection Committee.

Desirable Qualifications: Prior experience in Molecular Biology/Recombinant DNNA Technology
Job Requirements: To execute experiments proposed under the project.

Essential Qualifications: B.Sc., Desirable Qualifications: fluency in computer typing/internet search
Job Requirements: General upkeep of the laboratory, creation and updating of resource directory.
The project is valid till 2012. The selected candidate will be appointed on purely temporary basis initially for a period of one year or till his service are required by the Project Director or till the validity of the project, whichever is earliest.
